Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan, melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter over low heat, stirring continuously until completely melted and bubbly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add 1 cup of granulated sugar immediately, stirring until well combined and glossy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add in the 2 large eggs, one at a time, mixing vigorously after each addition until the batter becomes thick and slightly lighter in color, about 2 minutes.
- Mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips until the batter is thick and rich.
- Pour the batter into the pre-made 9-inch pie crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are set but the center looks slightly underbaked.
- Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Keywords: To ensure your brownie pie is fudgy, avoid overbaking. A glass or ceramic pie dish promotes even baking. Consider adding a pinch more salt to enhance the chocolate flavor.
