  • Author: Layla
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

Cool off with these refreshing Strawberry Peach Wine Slushies, a delightful blend of fresh strawberries, peaches, white wine, and peach schnapps. Perfect for summer gatherings or a relaxing day at home, this fruity slushy drink is sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio recommended)
  • 1/2 cup peach schnapps
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Additional sliced strawberries and peaches for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash strawberries and peaches under cold water. Hull strawberries and slice them into halves or quarters. Cut peaches in half, remove the pit, and slice into wedges. Peeling is optional.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water (e.g., 1/4 cup each). Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves (3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a blender, combine sliced strawberries, sliced peaches, white wine, peach schnapps, and cooled simple syrup. Add ice cubes (start with 2 cups). Blend on high until smooth and slushy, scraping down sides as needed. Adjust thickness with more wine or water if necessary.
  4. Taste the slushie. Add more simple syrup for sweetness or a splash of lemon juice if too sweet. Blend again if needed.
  5. Pour slushie mixture into glasses, filling about three-quarters full. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional fruit slices for a decorative touch.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon. Enjoy the refreshing taste of summer! Store leftovers in the freezer and stir or blend before serving again.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with different fruits like raspberries, blueberries, or mango for a unique twist.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute wine and schnapps with sparkling water or fruit juice.
  • To make frozen treats for kids, pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze.
