- 1 cup goat cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- Fresh arugula, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced pears with olive oil, honey, cinnamon, and balsamic vinegar. Toss gently to coat.
- Spread the pear mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
- Roast the pears for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
- If using pizza dough, roll it out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. If using pre-made flatbread, skip this step.
- Place the rolled-out dough or flatbread on a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
- Brush the surface of the flatbread lightly with olive oil.
- Once the pears are done roasting, let them cool for a few minutes.
- Distribute the roasted pear slices evenly over the flatbread, leaving space around the edges.
- Sprinkle crumbled goat cheese over the pears.
- Add chopped walnuts on top.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake the flatbread for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is slightly melted.
- Let the flatbread cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
- Top with fresh arugula and drizzle with extra honey or balsamic vinegar if desired.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the top before baking.
- Substitute blue cheese for goat cheese for a different flavor profile.
