Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the softened unsalted butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the bowl.
  3. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Add the chopped fresh parsley.
  5. Pour in the lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. If desired, add red pepper flakes for heat.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Mix everything together until well combined and creamy. Set aside.
  9. Shuck the oysters using an oyster knife and a thick cloth for protection.
  10. Place the shucked oysters on a baking sheet or grill-safe platter, stabilizing them with coarse salt if needed.
  11. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  12. Place the oysters on the grill, open side up, leaving space between each.
  13. Generously dollop the garlic butter mixture over each oyster.
  14. Close the grill lid and cook for 5-7 minutes, until edges curl and butter is bubbling.
  15. For extra char, turn the oysters halfway through cooking.
  16. Carefully remove the oysters from the grill using tongs and place them back on the baking sheet or platter.
  17. Optionally, sprinkle more fresh parsley on top.
  18. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges on the side.
