  • Fresh skinless salmon fillets
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Frozen puff pastry
  • Fresh dill or parsley
  • Dijon mustard
  • 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to ensure it’s even.
  3. Lightly season your salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on top.
  4. In a bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese with chopped fresh dill or parsley.
  5. Place the seasoned salmon fillet in the center of the pastry and top it generously with the cheese and herb mixture.
  6. Fold the pastry over the salmon, sealing the edges well, and crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  7. Beat an egg and brush it over the top of the pastry.
  8. Transfer the wrapped salmon to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
