Description

A healthy and delicious frozen treat for dogs, made with ripe bananas, blueberries, and peanut butter. Ideal for hot days or as a special reward, these treats can also be mixed with your dog’s regular food for a meal topper.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened and unflavored)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1/2 cup water (if needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Gather Your Ingredients: Start by gathering all your ingredients on the counter.
  2. Mash the Banana: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add Blueberries: Rinse fresh blueberries or use frozen ones directly. Add them to the mashed banana and mix gently.
  4. Incorporate Yogurt: Add the plain yogurt to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Sweeten It Up (Optional): Drizzle in honey if desired and mix well.
  6. Add Peanut Butter: Stir in the peanut butter until fully incorporated.
  7. Adjust Consistency: If the mixture is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until smooth.
  8. Choose Your Molds: Use silicone molds, ice cube trays, or paper cups for freezing.
  9. Fill the Molds: Spoon the mixture into the molds, smoothing the tops.
  10. Tap to Remove Air Bubbles: Gently tap the molds on the counter to remove air bubbles.
  11. Place in the Freezer: Carefully place the filled molds in the freezer.
  12. Freeze: Allow the treats to freeze for at least 4-6 hours or overnight.
  13. Remove from Molds: Once frozen, gently pop the treats out of the molds.
  14. Store the Treats: Store any leftover treats in an airtight container or zip-top bag in the freezer.
  15. Serve to Your Pup: Take out a treat and let your dog enjoy!
