- 1 blood orange, juiced
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 10 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup white rum
- 1/4 cup soda water (or more to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Blood orange slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Wash the fresh raspberries and mint leaves under cold water and pat them dry.
- Juice the blood orange to yield about 1/4 cup of juice, setting aside a few whole raspberries and mint leaves for garnish.
- In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh raspberries and mint leaves gently to release their juices and oils.
- Add the sugar and muddle again to dissolve it into the mixture.
- Pour in the blood orange juice and white rum, stirring gently to combine.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes (crushed or regular).
- Pour the mojito mixture over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
- Top off with soda water, adjusting the amount to your taste.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with reserved mint leaves, whole raspberries, and a slice of blood orange on the rim.
- Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail stirrer.

- For a larger batch, multiply the ingredients and prepare the base in a pitcher.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and replace it with additional soda water or tonic water.
